A Kids Playhouse Encourages A Career In Nature

Being outside in a kids playhouse may seem like what some would consider to be standard kid’s play. However, those precious moments could actually be a major force in inspiring a child to go after work that is nature or environmentally based. Every minute that children spend outdoors is a minute more where they interact with the Earth, in some way, with its plants, animals, insects and elements. So, for a kid, their play easily translates into a broader interest and deeper investigation into the world around them.

Some kids will want to pursue a nature-based career because they were so inspired by their outdoor experiences as a child. The following are a few potential areas that a nature-loving kid may end up working:

Horticulturalist - Plants are fascinating. They are many times beautiful. They sometimes smell great, and they are one of the keys to how we live and breathe. They have some very cool parts that kids will learn about through dissecting, looking through their little microscopes, or just picking for a small vase to sit on the window of their outdoor playhouse. Interacting with plants, trees, shrubs and flowers as a child may be the spark to want them to pursue a lifetime of interaction with them.

Floral Design - The majority of people enjoy receiving flowers. Children will gain experience with many types of flowers, and plants as they play in and around their kids playhouse. Children begin to learn basic elements to what it takes to put together lovely floral arrangements as they pick flowers and fashion bouquets for parents or as they decorate their playhouse with flowers.

Animal Trainer - How exciting to train animals to do a variety of tricks! Many children will enjoy their first experiences interacting with nature, such a moving a lady bug along with a stick or keeping a lizard in a shoebox, as they grow up they may also want to continue learning and working with insects or animals. Fields that these children may find interesting when they grow up could include animal trainer, animal rescue worker or zoologist.

Kids playhouse fun and interacting with nature go hand-in-hand. Kids whose parents encourage them to embrace and explore the Earth and it’s wonders, may develop a deeper love and interest in science or nature-based careers.
